Newborn Molly Campbell Diagnosed With Cancer
Molly was flown by helicopter from Victoria, British Columbia to B.C. Children’s Hospital for testing on her bone marrow and spinal fluid. Because her hands are too small, she was taken to emergency surgery to have a tube inserted into her chest for the multiple IVs she needs for medicine and fluids.
The Campbells were told to say their goodbyes, but Molly stabilized and began the first stages of her chemotherapy. The doctors said that even if she does survive, her IV tubes might have to stay in her for the next 2 years.
