One Year Later
One year. How can one year go by so quickly and so slowly at the same time? Everything is measured by “before Layla got sick” and “after Layla got sick”. The “before” days seem so much happier. We lived in our little suburban bubble, and felt very blessed with what we had. Wonderful children, great family and friends, good jobs, our health… but all that changed the day Layla was diagnosed.
