After your child enters remission, there is still the potential for relapse or new illness caused by the treatment. By being attentive to any changes in your child’s health and continuing to check in with the doctor, you can stay ahead of any new developments.

Secondary Cancers
After treatment, your child could still be at risk for secondary cancers. Risk levels vary by age and types of cancer and treatment, but there are ways to try to deal with and prevent a reoccurrence.
