Layla is diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma and has her first surgery four days later.

Layla passes away. The following Saturday, friends and family join the Marsh’s for her Celebration of Life. Everyone listened to Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s version of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” as 1000 pink and purple balloons were sent up to Layla.

Community event, “A Taste of Cy-Fair“, raises over $21,000. Live music and food from over 30 local restaurants attracted 3,000 plus attendees.

The 6-month anniversary of Layla’s passing. LGF sets plans for a website re-design and organizes a scientific advisory board.

The Foundation has raised over $75,000 in the first six months with only one major fundraiser to date.
